Why beat innocent people..I'm going to bed. I leave you with this!!!!
People moving out
People movin' in
Why, because of the color of their skin
Run, run, run, but you sho' can't hide
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
Vote for me, and I'll set you free
Rap on brother, rap on
Well, the only person talkin'
'Bout love thy brother is the preacher
And it seems,
Nobody is interested in learnin'
But the teacher
Segregation, determination, demonstration,
Integration, aggravation,
Humiliation, obligation to our nation
Ball of Confusion
That's what the world is today
The sale of pills are at an all time high
Young folks walk around with
Their heads in the sky
Cities aflame in the summer time
And, the beat goes on
Air pollution, revolution, gun control,
Sound of soul
Shootin' rockets to the moon
Kids growin' up too soon
Politicians say more taxes will
Solve everything
And the band played on
So round 'n' round 'n' round we go
Where the world's headed, nobody knows
Just a Ball of Confusion
Oh yea, that's what the wold is today
Fear in the air, tension everywhere
Unemployment rising fast,
The Beatles' new record's a gas
And the only safe place to live is
On an indian reservation
And the band played on
Eve of destruction, tax deduction
City inspectors, bill collectors
Mod clothes in demand,
Population out of hand
Suicide, too many bills, hippies movin'
To the hills
People all over the world, are shoutin'
End the war
And the band played on

Glory glory, hallelujah since I laid my burden down. I can hear mom sing that song even though I had not heard her voice in years. How I miss you mother (she would say mother what lol every time). I remember the day so vividly. It was a beautiful sun shiny day. I was cleaning the liter box. My uncle called I missed the first call but he called back he said I needed to get there it was a code blue. I often have conversations with God and quickly the Holy spirit started ministering to me. My mom was a fighter but i knew she was tired. My mom was very scary, so I had been reading the Bible to her, playing gospel music and praying with her. I watched her as she looked out the window fearing what we knew was inevitable I would say just call on the name of Jesus you can do that right she would nod yes. I couldn't understand why I left my job when I did. I was not ready financially ...my 401k was really a 401 may......but this moment as I rushed to the hospital and God spoke again I am your source. I put out a 911 to you guys asking for prayer. My daughter wanted me to drive faster, but God said take your time. As I arrived they were working on her, her body coming up off the bed with every shock. I stood there but not really being there, my mind flooded with thoughts.....I shouted no screamed I TRUST YOU......my baby was, hysterical and my uncle stoic .....he loved his sister. I think he saw her everyday. My heart was heavy for our family. It would be hours before they pronounced her dead......but God kept ministering to me. I knew. Be strong Barbara, that was my mom speaking. . Remember all the things you spoke to me. I trusted God and I was standing on my faith. He has not failed me yet. I miss my mother so much . The dynamics of this family forever changed.....realizing today that she was the only reason we all really came together. I made her a promise and that I will keep. I miss you mommy!

The Question is!
Greetings to you and your love ones. Today if you are able to read this post if you woke up this morning, and are able to get up YOU are blessed. Every one is going through something. I buried my mother in October, I thought life as I knew it was over. Although, I miss my mother so much I know she would want me to carry on, loving and caring for others. I know God is carrying me, I know mom is at peace and with her heavenly father. I know he has concern for me not just me, but for you as well. WE continue to look at all of our problems, instead of looking to our faith and belief in God.
I'm looking and listening to others with problems and the question is "Does God ever leave you? No, no, no." I'm looking back on my life, and today in the midst of my heavy heart, in the midst of my brokenness I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am praying for my brothers and my sisters, I see God's hand, my hope is that you see it and grab a hold to it and don't let it go. There are so many things I would love to share but the most important thing I have to give you today is hope. I have been blessed to see every thing I have ever asked God for come to pass (not the lottery lol), EVERYTHING.
When I started to pray Lord your will be done, and allow him to take full control of my life I saw me changing. This morning, I was asking him to remove something from me that I keep dealing with, and it keeps me in a state of guilt and condemnation. I ask Lord, why can't I get past this. Why am I still struggling with this why am I sabotaging my own peace....and he answered with this.....
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:
If you will release the issues of life and trust Me, I will release you from bondage. And, you will experience more spiritual freedom than you ever thought possible. It is My desire that you be absolutely free--free to be all that I have created you to be and to do all that I have called you to do. Let go and be free, says the Lord. You will never be the same.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
What God has for you it is for you. Everything we go through, exactly where you are is where you are suppose to be. God is able to do all things but fail. I suffer with not feeling adequate enough to do some of the things God has called me to do, but I do it any way. I get many calls and request to support, and counsel which I don't want the role but I step up to the plate and swing at the ball anyway. Sometimes I hit a homerun, sometimes a foul ball, and other times I totally strike out.
Everybody is not for you. Don't look at the person to the left or the right of you, look at yourself.
Get over it and move forward. People will be in your life just to get a ride, they want to go where you going, but will jump out the car while it is still moving to go stand in line to get what you were suppose to get. Ha! Somebody will get that later.
God loves us! What he has for you it is for you. He cares about you, he has not forgotten you. Hold on.....Now, the question is.......
The question is, will I ever leave You,
The answer is, no, no, no, no, no, no,
No, no, no, no, no, no,
No, no, no.
The question is, will I ever leave You,
The answer is, no, no, no, no, no, no,
No, no, no, no, no, no,
No, no, no.

Still I dream!!!!!!!!!!!
50 years ago, Martin Luther King delivers his famous I have a dream speech in Washington. Wow, 50 years ago today. I was 6 years old. What was I going through at that time? That is not important. What were we as a people going through? Well, I think at that time in certain parts of the world we could go through the same doors. I thank God for the people who arose before me. The real heroes who marched, and marched peacefully. Those who realized that when wrong was done to them, they became more determined to do right. Those who realized it was not about the fight, but about their right. We were not fighting for fighting sake like Muhammad Ali in the ring to win a title. We were fighting for our rights even for lives.
Today as we remember the speech, and we continue to hear on the news shootings and murders in alarming numbers, WE must not forget how the times have turned. WE have come a long ways, and we have such a long ways to go. As we move forward, each step we take should bring us closer to peace to equality. We must love one another more than we hate. We must share our resources, our treasures, and our talents. We must be the change we want to see. We must celebrate when our younger generation does something positive, and help them when they have fallen by the wayside showing them the path to deliverance the way onward.
We must stop turning on one another and turn towards each other. Yes, my dream is for this world, especially my sisters. That we take our power back and recognize who we are. To understand the role we play, how we must raise the bar, and stop going to the bar (just making a point). We must stand together and stop faking it with each other. Still I dream, I hope others are dreaming as well.
I end my thoughts with Dr. Kings very own...................
Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today my friends -- so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream

An open letter to my daddy...
Happy Fathers day daddy. Although I only met you briefly at the age of 38. I thank God he allowed us time together he knew it was not to late.
I thank you for the love you showed me, cause I never knew who to be....see my mom said I was just like you....but you were a void to me.
You were good to me and my children, you were someone I could see, when I looked in your eyes for the first time I thought Now it's okay to be me. No matter what your past looked like, no matter what you did Benjamin Franklin in my eyes you were the greatest man that ever lived.
I love you but you knew that cause I told you with words, and showed you with my actions. I wish you could see me today daddy. All my life I longed to meet you and God saw fit to answer that prayer before you passed away even before I passed away. Happy Father's day daddy. I love saying daddy because I was denied the privilege of saying it for too long. I am crying as I type this but I am so happy

MEMBER’S CORNER:
Women Empowered Cross N Path is a movement that started long before it had a name. It is a movement born from the experiences and aspirations of one truly loving, dedicated and inspiring person, my friend, Barbara Dean Franklin.
My friend since 1975, a lifetime ago, we have the shared experiences of two young women who have lived, made mistakes, learned, made more mistakes and then have found a calling. A calling that has taught us that it is not good enough to survive or to be successful but a calling that compels us to share our stories, our pain and our successes, so that other young women and other people who are feeling hopeless can know, that they too can survive, succeed and then help someone else feel the love of the Son and the warmth of the sun on their face.
For everyday there is life, there is hope, and Women Empowered wants people who feel hopeless to know there is hope and then to know that they don't have be less than, they deserve happiness, prosperity, and love and together we will help you get there.
Sometimes one can look at a person and think you know who they are, where they have been and how they feel. This assumption is so wrong because no one can look at another person and think they know who that person is.
Barbara Franklin is our leader and I believe in her vision for us and for Women Empowered.
Women Empowered Cross N Path is a movement that will continue to grow and evolve and along the way, we hope that you will join us on the journey and bring along someone you know that needs someone to show them that EVERYTHING is going to be okay - because believe it or not, it will be. Let us lift each other in all things.

HEY HEY HEY-----(YOU KNOW DWAYNE -ROG- AND RERUN)
How are you doing today? Are you able to read this post? Is someone able to read it to you? YOU are blessed and among the land of the living. Therefore, no matter what it looks like, no matter what you are going through greater days are ahead of you. I went to Okemos Michigan last week. I lived there 1995-1998; sometimes it is good to go back if only in your mind to remember where you have been. To see where you are. Earlier today, I was sad, not sure, why I was feeling the way I feel, but God sent a brother from Freetown, Sierra Leone to speak to me via Facebook and boy was I encouraged.
God cares for you. He cares for me. He is always there when you need him. A present help in the time of need. See I needed God this morning. Now, I had been praying, but I was disconnected. Everyday this brother reaches out to me. Not because of me, but because of the God in him that is seeking the God in me. God uses me to reach people. He can't use me when I am in a funk, so he sent his brother my way...do you remember how he sent Jesus down the path to cross with the woman with an issue of blood? Do you remember that? How he restored Jairus daughter from death?
Read the story.....http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/all-women-bible/Jairus-Daughter
Therefore, I just want to say to Hey, Hey, Hey. Whatever it is you are going through God's got you. Do not give up. Do not get in a funk. Do not get weary in your heart, your mind, your soul. God's GOT YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU TOO.
I love the Lord he has been better than good to me. In December of 1994 he delivered me from a crack addiction. 1995-1998 he walked with me, and talked with me and told me I was his own. He has never left me no matter what I have gone through. God has an amazing future for me, and he has an amazing future for you. Just trust him! I do! I love you. Hey.....did I tell you I now have a television show? The Barbara Dean Franklin Show....Real Talk Real People.
Greater things...........The Sun/Son is out! I need you Lord, I love you Father, and I thank you. I'm trusting you. Believing you. Waiting for the manifestation of your word!

I WON'T COMPLAIN.
Today is one of those days. Although the Sun is not shining...The SON shines deep within my heart. I woke up, very tired and feeling somewhat defeated...but, then I spoke to several of my friends. I received a video from my friend in Egypt. This video shows a woman being raped in the streets, crying out while others look; either walks by or is a part of the degradation of raping her. I then read my friend Jaspers' blog. Jasper is a Quadriplegic. He is so optimistic about life and understands that all these things will pass away. He has total faith in God. As I looked at my 81-year-old mom, and read a very uplifting testimony in a group on Facebook all I could hear is I WONT COMPLAIN. God has been better than good to me. My Godson says all I do is talk about God. He has never had a relationship with him on this level. He says he sees the difference in people who just talk about him versus people who live it. Therefore, my faith and my trust are in God. Well, Philippians 4:19 states "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
What are my needs? I need God to continue to be with me. I need him to continue to cover and keep me. I need God to bless and keep my family and each of you who will read this post. I need him to dispatch his ministering angels...his angels of peace, hope, joy and love. His angles of protection, prosperity, wisdom and knowledge. I need him to continue to speak with me when I am down and show me his will for my life. I need him to strategically place me in the life of someone who is also going through that together when we speak to each other he will show up and let us know that he is for us and not against us. He said in Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
He did that for Fredie and me this afternoon. I pray that he does it for those in other countries, religions, races, families and genders.
Trust in God, and do not complain

Am I My Sister's Keeper
My sisters!!!! How are you today? I am writing you to share with you today the importance of loving one another. More important I want to share the importance of loving yourself. I spoke to a group Thursday “The Women of AT&T” and I shared with them the theme “Am I my sister's keeper.” Yes we are! I presented a suit that I have and often wear. The suit is pin stripped, double-breasted, nice buttons. The jacket is long and reaches to the floor, the pants’ and jacket fits very well. The material is stretchable so it gives when I have eaten a lot. I love the suit, but this suit represents our lives. What I did during my presentation was take the suit pants and turn it inside out. The lining was torn up, raggedy, broken. That is how many of us walk around. We look good on the outside, we are made up. Our hair is done, our clothes fit well, but internally we struggle. We struggle as mothers, daughters, sisters, friends. We are dealing with loss, with finances, with family issue, and with our jobs or lack thereof. In the sisterhood, we should support one another. We should love each other, uplift, inspire and motivate each other. Where is the support? Let us start today with real love. Let us love one another right where we are. I love you all. I want the very best for each of us. If you are at a point in your life and things are not going right for you, you continue to wonder what you need to do. Look in the mirror, what are you putting out? Most relationships mirror you. What you put out is what you get. Trying loving yourself...NO, really loving yourself right where you are. Let go of all of the STUFF (S-- Taking us from Fear (2) Failure) (fill in your own S---). Try loving that person you think is hard to love. Listen, to what they say. Share a smile with them. Give them a hug. It will make YOU feel better. Try it.
I love you!
