An open letter to my daddy...

Happy Fathers day daddy. Although I only met you briefly at the age of 38. I thank God he allowed us time together he knew it was not to late. I thank you for the love you showed me, cause I never knew who to be....see my mom said I was just like you....but you were a void to me. You were good to me and my children, you were someone I could see, when I looked in your eyes for the first time I thought Now it's okay to be me. No matter what your past looked like, no matter what you did Benjamin Franklin in my eyes you were the greatest man that ever lived. I love you but you knew that cause I told you with words, and showed you with my actions. I wish you could see me today daddy. All my life I longed to meet you and God saw fit to answer that prayer before you passed away even before I passed away. Happy Father's day daddy. I love saying daddy because I was denied the privilege of saying it for too long. I am crying as I type this but I am so happy

WE are hoping WE can bring information to you that will be practical, functional and helpful. WE are a movement that is on the move. WE are attempting to obtain our 501C3 exemption status with the IRS. If any of you have expertise in this area please let me know. Each quarter we will produce a newsletter keeping you informed about what WE are doing. WE will ask for your input as well. What are the topics that you so want to discuss but are having a hard time broaching the subject? How can WE as an organization help each other accomplish our goals? That is why WE are here. Together all things are possible. As we move onto what is next, WE are looking to make real changes in our lives, homes, neighborhoods and community. Real talk, it is time for a change and it starts with us. The real work starts with each of us individually. Then it spills over into the world . . . If you have news that you would like to add, information on upcoming events, jobs, births, and birthdays please send them in. WE want to make sure we celebrate each other. Many of you know our focus is assisting our young women, protecting our seniors and encouraging each other; therefore, WE will include informative links and any other uplifting events happening during the month. It is a movement born from the experiences and aspirations of one truly loving, dedicated and inspiring person, my friend, Barbara Dean Franklin. My friend since 1975, a lifetime ago, we have the shared experiences of two young women who have lived, made mistakes, learned, made more mistakes and then have found a calling. A calling that has taught us that it is not good enough to survive or to be successful but a calling that compels us to share our stories, our pain and our successes, so that other young women and other people who are feeling hopeless can know, that they too can survive, succeed and then help someone else feel the love of the Son and the warmth of the sun on their face. For everyday there is life, there is hope, and Women Empowered wants people who feel hopeless to know there is hope and then to know that they don't have be less than, they deserve happiness, prosperity, and love and together we will help you get there. Sometimes one can look at a person and think you know who they are, where they have been and how they feel. This assumption is so wrong because no one can look at another person and think they know who that person is. Barbara Franklin is our leader and I believe in her vision for us and for Women Empowered. Women Empowered Cross N Path is a movement that will continue to grow and evolve and along the way, we hope that you will join us on the journey and bring along someone you know that needs someone to show them that EVERYTHING is going to be okay - because believe it or not, it will be. Let us lift each other in all things. Joann Roberts Treasurer, Women Empowered Cross N Paths WHO LOVES YA! WE DO! WOMEN EMPOWERED CROSS N PATHS-A MOVEMENT ON THE MOVE! HEY HEY HEY-----(YOU KNOW DWAYNE -ROG- AND RERUN)

How are you doing today? Are you able to read this post? Is someone able to read it to you? YOU are blessed and among the land of the living. Therefore, no matter what it looks like, no matter what you are going through greater days are ahead of you. I went to Okemos Michigan last week. I lived there 1995-1998; sometimes it is good to go back if only in your mind to remember where you have been. To see where you are. Earlier today, I was sad, not sure, why I was feeling the way I feel, but God sent a brother from Freetown, Sierra Leone to speak to me via Facebook and boy was I encouraged. God cares for you. He cares for me. He is always there when you need him. A present help in the time of need. See I needed God this morning. Now, I had been praying, but I was disconnected. Everyday this brother reaches out to me. Not because of me, but because of the God in him that is seeking the God in me. God uses me to reach people. He can't use me when I am in a funk, so he sent his brother my way...do you remember how he sent Jesus down the path to cross with the woman with an issue of blood? Do you remember that? How he restored Jairus daughter from death? Read the story.....http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/all-women-bible/Jairus-Daughter Therefore, I just want to say to Hey, Hey, Hey. Whatever it is you are going through God's got you. Do not give up. Do not get in a funk. Do not get weary in your heart, your mind, your soul. God's GOT YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU TOO. I love the Lord he has been better than good to me. In December of 1994 he delivered me from a crack addiction. 1995-1998 he walked with me, and talked with me and told me I was his own. He has never left me no matter what I have gone through. God has an amazing future for me, and he has an amazing future for you. Just trust him! I do! I love you. Hey.....did I tell you I now have a television show? The Barbara Dean Franklin Show....Real Talk Real People. Greater things...........The Sun/Son is out! I need you Lord, I love you Father, and I thank you. I'm trusting you. Believing you. Waiting for the manifestation of your word!
